This week you will be exploring:

1.    Parenting on “automatic pilot”

2.    Using body sensations as an anchor in the present moment

3.    Moving from ‘doing’ mode into ‘being’ mode

4. Mindful Eating

5. Learning about the 9 sensory systems with a focus on Interoception


Home Practice

Mindfulness Practice:

Daily Body Scan – 10 mins

Be aware of expectations about feeling anything in particular from doing this meditation.  Just let your experience be your experience. 

Mindful Eating Practice - one meal

Eat one meal ‘mindfully during the week (or even a few bites) in the same way you ate the raisin. This may mean eating the meal on your own without the distractions of other people, TV, phone or even a book or magazine.

Mindful Parenting Practice:

Observe your “Child as a Raisin” Observe your child (or partner) once during the week as if you are seeing your child (or partner) for the first time.
